It was April 8th, 2017. Two Brooklynites, Dara & Lincoln, brought all their friends and family down to Fort Meyers FL for their wedding. Myself and my amazing friend/second shooter Sara were along for the ride. I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but let me tell you, this whole weekend was filled with late night pool dips, happy tear streaked faces, sunburns, and raucous celebration. Basically it was awesome.

Dara wore a stunning dress by Theia, shoes by Valentino (ow owww) and jewelry by Dana Rebecca. Lincoln wore a suit by Franco Ercole.

For first look and portraits, we really wanted to use Miramar Beach Club as our backdrop. That is where their ceremony and reception was set up, so the two of them didn’t want to stray far from that. We had our first look in a quiet courtyard area and then ventured out to the beach and surrounding grounds for more portraits. It was pretty sunny in the afternoon so we utilized shade and textures as much as possible. My favorite spot were these enormous palm trees that I could have had them pose in front of forever. Big thanks to Libby’s Flower Shop for making one hell of a bouquet!

Shout out to this bridal party for being some of the most energetic, and fun group of people to photograph. I normally dread bridal party pictures just for the sheer hectic-ness of it sometimes, but this group made it as easy as possible for me and Sara. After the bridal party wrapped up with photos, we did some family portraits and then went right into the Katubah and ceremony. It was so sweet that their good friend, Danny Metzger, officiated them. He absolutely killed it!!

And now, we golden hour it up, chow down on coconut shrimp, and party the night away. I was able to sneak Dara and Lincoln away for a few minutes when the sun was low (thank you for that!). I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding in general. The couple was easy going and trusted my every word. It also helped that they were super in love and so happy to finally be getting married. I’ll love and cherish this wedding for a very, very long time. <3
